Flee!

On an employee bulletin board: "In case of fire, flee the building with the same reckless abandon that occurs each day at quitting time." Humorous? Perhaps! Maybe we should learn a lesson from this story. We are told to flee the wrath to come, flee youthful lusts, flee ungodliness, etc. Let's make sure we flee these things, just like we would run from a fire.

    Another one I'd add to the list of things to flee is the love of money (1 Tim 6:10,11), a type of ungodliness.

    The word "flee" is a strong word to me. Something must be pretty bad to have to flee from it. It's not sufficient to just change your trajectory a few degrees in hopes of going around it. You must run completely away from it in the fastest direction possible. Surely everything God tells us to flee from is just as dangerous to our very souls as He warns us it is.
